Senior Programmer/Analyst/Applications Developer

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Senior Programmer/Applications Developer - NYC. The primary responsibilities of this hands-on position include leading, managing and participating in the design and coding phases, such as Strong Applications Development and Fulfilling the Database/DBA responsibilities for the New York Office. This position reports directly to the Director of Applications Development. 50% is involved in coding, 25% is involved in Data Administration, and 25% is involved in moving into a team lead role, ad hoc projects. This person will be involved in the participation in the Application Development Lifecycle. This person will develop physical and logical database designs, design technical solution based on approved standards, and create application prototypes. This person will prepare coding specifications; program, test and implement new application development, enhancements and modifications; and manage design, coding and testing phases of projects. This person will manage junior programming staff on development projects. This person will provide application support to the user community; perform SQL Server/Oracle database support, maintenance and tuning; and manage multiple application servers such as: IIS, Crystal Reports, Tomcat, and Apache.
