Job Description

Develops design (identity) ideas from concepts through to fully worked out design solutions in the retail context. Works, with a high level of independence, according to the briefing and creative vision and direction in close co-operation with the other members of the design team, the creative director and the (constructional) development team. Follows the development of the design through to production. Must have the ability to work within tight deadlines and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility. Activities and Responsibilities Designs and realizes POS/display solutions, on basis of the agreed upon project brief and on professional orientation, in delegated contact with the client and in close consultation with the involved specialists. This of course in close consultation with the creative director or other project leader. Works within the context of the given Philips Design policy with a high level of independence Participates in defining the policy for the projects to be handled by him/her, including the needs analysis and the concept creation. Participates together with the account manager / creative director in defining budget for the project. Prepares specifications for internal and external services Briefs, directs and oversees visualizers, display manufacturers and builders. Prepares and maintains the relevant documentation Assumes responsibility for maintaining identity principles in the context of retail across Philips businesses. Coaches and trains one or more designers in the retail expertise Collaborates with print/packaging/internet art directors and (sr) product designers in order to generate retail concepts that are integrated with other touch points and aligned with Philips Strategy and positioning.
