Senior Networking Engineer

The D. E. It seeks an exceptionally gifted individual for the role of Senior Network Engineer in its IT Systems group. Candidates should have superb network design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong programming skills and an excellent understanding of best-of-breed network management practices.Responsibilities:Develop scalable network designs for both our campus and global networksIdentify, research, and evaluate emerging network technologiesDevelop and implement network management and related toolsEngineer solutions for the firm's growing, highly-resilient network infrastructureRequirements:5-7 years experience with enterprise-level network design
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical disciplineExtensive hands-on experience with enterprise-class routers and switches (Cisco experience a plus)Superior understanding of network routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, and MPLS)Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysisIn-depth understanding of network security and access controlExperience with VoIP, QoS, and IP Telephony technologiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsCreative problem-solving abilitiesExperience with UNIX Systems administration (Solaris, Linux) a plusWe are prepared to pay extraordinary people extraordinarily well.
