Senior Network Engineer

As our Senior Cisco IP Telephony Engineer based in Annapolis, Maryland, you will design, deploy, implement and support systems for all our public and enterprise installations. This position will analyze business requirements in order to design and implement mobile and infrastructure solutions using any or all of the following Cisco technologies: Call Manager, Unity, Voice Gateway, Land Mobile Radio Gateway (LMR), LAN routing & switching, wireless, and QoS. Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting coupled with a background in network maintenance including security services, load monitoring, system resiliency, back-up, and restore to resolve issues and mentor others. This position will lead projects through full lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, test, documentation and implementation. Successful candidate will coordinate with customers, partners and appropriate departments. Must be able to follow engineering processes to define a problem, propose solutions, develop a design and oversee implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience: At least six years of data communications and networking experience required. Must have three years Cisco IPT experience. Successful candidate should be an expert in TCP/IP Protocol Suite and routing protocols such as RIP, BGP, EIGRP. CCNP and CCDP or equivalent network experience desired. Expert required in implementing and troubleshooting L2 and L3 switching. Knowledge of Cisco IOS and Network Management (SNMP, MIB) a must. Candidate must have the following experience: MGCP, H.323, and SGCP Voice Gateway Protocols, Cisco Call Manager 4.X, Call Manager Express and Cisco Unity Unified Messaging 4.0.X, Cisco Unity Unified Messaging with Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003, CCIE with Voice specialization, Cisco IPICS technology, Cisco Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Gateway product, working on a Cisco IP Telephony projects from inception to project completion CCVP certification a plus. This person will monitor and tune the enterprise IPT network for optimal performance.

Education or Certification Requirements: BSEE or equivalent. Cisco certifications including: CCIE or CCNP and CCDP
