Senior Mechanical Utilities Engineer

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Senior mechanical utilities engineer in the Repository Project Management (RPM) Engineering group. Evaluation and application of engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria in performing engineering calculations for process, utilities and mechanical systems. Development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), equipment sizing and line sizing with heavy emphasis in fluid mechanics and fluid handling equipment, pumps, compressors, filtration, and utility systems in a nuclear project environment..
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related technical displine and 9 years utitilies design experience for Grade 25 (B.S. and 13 years experience for Grade 26, B.S. and 15 years experience for Grade 27). Candidate should be experienced in the design of process and utility systems for industrial facilities, including chilled water systems, hot water systems, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, fuel oil systems. Experience in fuel pool cooling and treatment systems is desired. Experience working in a quality controlled environment (e.g. design of DOE or NRC facilities) is preferred. Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
