Senior Lead Websphere Developer

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Level Lead Developer for a large healthcare company in Washington, DC for a long term contract opportunity.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Currently the project is in the development phase, so we are looking for someone to do 60-80% development work and have the ability/experience mentoring other engineers on the team.

Project:

The system is bring completely re-written in Java/J2EE. The old system was developed in coldfusion. The lead developer will review functional requirements for all assigned projects; perform necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility; help develop project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth; code, test and prepare application for production; and ensure that all user requirements are included in the design documents and that user friendly techniques are inherent in the method and project concepts.

Candidates should have very strong analysis skills as well as technical skills.

All candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of IT experience. Must have experience with the following technologies and tasks: Java, J2EE, WebSphere, WSAD, Struts, SQL, sound Database Framework, RUP Tools, HTML, Requirements and Analysis, Design, Develop, Code Reviews, and Testing. In addition, accounting/finance experience and team leadership skills are required.Classification:ContractCompensation:
