Senior Java Software Engineer/Architect
We are creating a high performing engineering team as part of this exciting start up company. We are hiring the best software engineers available to create an industry leading insurance underwriting application for a currently under-served market.Mission:
•Senior Software Engineer/Architect to develop software architecture and software design for a Java based insurance underwriting vertical enterprise application
•Lead development team in coding application using J2EE technology
•Design and develop advanced integration with existing customer software, including legacy & mainframe applications
•Coordinate with external product development partnersKey accountabilities:
•Design and develop Java software solution to meet product requirements for next generation underwriter workbench.
•Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management Teams to define and develop software architecture and technology roadmap
•Create product design and architecture documents
•Develop software in Java and J2EE technology
REQUIREMENTS
Key Competencies:
•Proven ability to develop architecture and software for complex application
•Proven superior Java coding abilities
•Successful new product development experience•Proven abilities as a member of a high performing engineering teams
•Fast moving, self-motivated, creative thinker with exceptional process, analytical, engineering and relationship skills
•Strong understanding of Java, J2EE, App Servers, Workflow, Rules Engines, XML technologiesWork Experience:
•6-15 years experience developing enterprise applications
•5+ years experience in Java and J2EE technology
•Experience developing Java Server-side software products
•Experience using rules engines and workflow technology
•Insurance domain experience is a plusEducation Expectations:
Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Computer ScienceU.S citizenship or Green Card required
