We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Interactive Designer supporting the Creative Services Division.
Job Summary: Provide design and creative leadership for online marketing and communications materials including Web sites, landing pages, online banners, e-mails, and other online based creative. Collaborate with content editors, designers, account strategists, and user experience experts to create visual design solutions that address business, brand, market, technical, and user requirements.
Job Scope:
•Develop look, feel and design for online creative
•Work directly with internal teams to ensure work is in alignment with business goals and marketing strategy
•Design user-interface elements based on existing styles and optimized graphics for online implementation
•Participate in concept development and design ideation
•Present concepts to internal and external clients
•Provide creative rationales for designs that are grounded in solid understanding of information architecture, usability and interaction design, and brand management
•Create/develop relationships with external design vendors
•Research and define best-in-class design practices and usability standards
•Educate clients and peers regarding online design
•Stay current on latest technologies and tactics
Management Responsibilities:
•May manage internal designers and external design vendors
REQUIREMENTS
Experience, Skills, and Talents Required:
•Passionate about the power of collaboration
•Team player. Ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals and talents to complete projects.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to communicate with creatives and programmers
•Strong conceptual design skills with an emphasis on marketing and communications
•Diverse portfolio showcasing professional projects and a passion for design
•3-4 years proven experience in developing online creative
•Understanding of information architecture and human computer interaction
•Understanding of motion graphics and storyboarding skills
•Familiarity with current web development trends
•Design management experience
•Solid CSS/HTML coding skills
•Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Flash
•Strong knowledge of Flash ActionScript. JavaScript a plus.
•Digital audio and video editing knowledge a plus
•Working knowledge of both Mac and PC. Familiarity with Microsoft Office
•Understanding of web site performance and importance of optimization
•Understanding of the production cycle of online media – strategy, wireframes, concepting, information architecture, content creation, technical architecture, coding, testing, and delivery
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
•Organized and detail oriented
Education and Certifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, Fine Arts or related field
