Senior Instructional Designer/Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Instructional Designer / Project Manager with proven success as a solutions-minded business partner and not just an administrator.

Key Accountability Categories for this senior level position include:

•Development of on-line training modules
•Directing the development of on-line training
•Ensuring product quality control
•Managing diverse projects and teams to design, develop and deliver on-line training


Instructional Design:
•Design, development, and review on-line training programs.
•Manage the design, development, and review for on-line training programs.
•Work with client’s subject matter experts to develop and review program content.
•Create / redefine systems for course / module creation. (How We Do it Here)
•Conduct comprehensive assessment of what business needs the client is attempting to solve. Set measurements to measure success at meeting those needs.
•Analyze the target audience for the program and ensure that the training is suitable for them.
•Explore, evaluate, and propose new technologies for potential application to instructional problems. (What’s Coming Next?)
Project Management:
•Develop and manage production schedules for ALL projects, ensuring on-time product delivery.
•Manage Tortal staff and Contractors to ensure on-time product delivery.
•Manage budget for programs developed in-house and those outsourced, ensuring product delivery within budget parameters.
•Communicate regularly with Tortal staff, keeping them informed about the status of existing and new education programs.
REQUIREMENTS
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and several years of training experience. Master or PhD level education preferred. We’ll expect that you have a minimum of 5 years instructional design and training experience in a corporate setting. Of course, effective communication skills are essential to the success of this position.
Some travel may be required. Proficient in Microsoft office. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
