SENIOR IMAGING TECH - CT

Responsible to the Chief Imaging Technologist for the performance of CT procedures. Directs and monitors performance of assigned personnel. Collaborates with Chief Imaging Technologist in the development or modification of test procedures and protocols. Assists in training students and technologists in CT. Performs injection procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology. Affiliation with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certification or eligible for certification with the Indiana State Board of Health is required. Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of three years experience in all aspects of operating a CT and MRI unit.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be able to supervise employees effectively and issue orders and instruction in a manner that will maintain harmony and safety and obtain cooperation and satisfactory work results.
2. Must have knowledge of the hazards encountered with the use and care of CT and MRI equipment.
3. Must have knowledge of operation and care of equipment used in the performance of work.
4. Must be alert and observant to detect conditions that may be dangerous to patients and employees.
5. Must learn, properly interpret, and apply departmental and hospital policies applicable to CT/MRI sections.
