Senior Designer

The job -
We are seeking a Senior Designer to plan, design and furnish interior environments of commercial space by performing the following duties:

Job Description:
•Provides furniture layouts and specifications of primarily Haworth systems furniture, including new layouts and reconfigurations.
•Manages and maintains drawings.
•Participates in and manages furniture layouts for facilities using Haworth systems furniture using standards set by client.
•Responsible for adherence to ADA and applicable codes when space planning.
•Participates in and manages all Haworth furniture reconfigurations.
•Maintains project standards.
•Supervises, trains and works with junior designer.
•Assists Project Manager with installs, project completion, etc.
•Performs project management responsibilities on a case-by-case basis.
•Conducts internal pre-installation meeting with PM and Lead Installer to verify installation drawings.
•Assists PM with inventory management as needed.
•Conducts post punch list meeting with PM and assists in resolution of punch issues involving design.
•Attends external project meetings and team meetings as needed.
•Performs client inventory management as needed.
•Records all reconfigurations.
•Maintains and distributes “as-builts” to third parties as requested by client.
•Checks drawings and specifications, reviews with Project Manager, turn specifications in to customer service and project management for installation.
•Acts as liaison between client and FMG.
•Assists in update of library.
•Enters all billable/non-billable time into 'Bill Quick' in a timely manner.

Qualifications –
•Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and/or one to two years’ related experience/training.
•Knowledge of AutoCAD Design software, Asset/Win Inventory software, MS Excel and Word.
