Senior Design Engineer

Purpose: Our client is a major manufacturer of household appliances located in Jackson, TN.

The Contractor will be responsible and accountable for all component, sub-system and system level verification and validation testing including but not limited to:

-Review, validate and approve all Part & Material Engineering standards including test specifications.
-Review DMAIC and/or ICOV roadmaps and translate into testing requirements and test plans.
-Participate in peer reviews, design reviews and production readiness review.
-FMEA development participation/support, full review responsibility and translation into test requirements and test plans (differential/revision review) - DFMEA, PFMEA.
-Review and approve all initial test plans for engineering changes and projects.
-Review all submitted deviations from specifications and communicate concerns to requester.
-Review and approve engineering changes based on complete and adequate testing (as requested).
-Test Plan testing and performance scorecard review and approval for all engineering changes and/or projects.


Potential candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of engineering fundamentals. Previous product design testing experience is required,as well as strong Problem solving and data analysis skills. Certified Six Sigma (Black Belt) is preferred.
