Reports to: Department ManagerJob Summary:
A Senior Design Engineer will design test equipment and test fixtures. They will work with lead engineer's top level designs to create the detailed design of test equipment to verify the performance of complex hydraulic or electro-mechanical actuation systems.Responsibilities to Include:
Performs complicated and difficult engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence.
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
BSME with hands-on, directly applicable experience.Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree with 5 - 7 years experience.
Masters Degree with 3 - 5 years experience.
Ph.D. with 1 - 3 years experience.
Must have knowledge of test equipment, hydraulics or electromechanics, documentation skills and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
Requires experience with Unigraphics.
Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of related specialties.
Receives technical guidance on unusual or unprecedented problems.License and Certification Requirements:
