Senior Design Electrical Engineer

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer at our suburban Columbus, Ohio location. REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:
The senior hardware design engineer is primarily responsible for new product development of safety products - smoke, CO and other hazardous detectors. This entails interpreting market requirements; understanding the science of safety product design; comprehending agency and code requirements; and developing cost effective, reliable and manufactured products.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in designing and producing high volume electronic consumer products. Have a solid theoretical foundation for making design decisions and for thoroughly analyzing the design integrity. The engineer should also be able to clearly communicate his/her thoughts both orally and in writing, and will occasionally be required to make presentations to senior management. Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education:
BSEE with minimum 7 years experience
Prior design experience of smoke/CO detectors preferred, but not required
RF product design in a plus
Experience with sensor design
Agency/regulatory experience
