Job DescriptionThis web development position focuses on the delivery of an online, internal IT service catalog. Candidates must be able to develop solutions to meet several needs, including content management, request forms, and workflow. The Web Developer will also assist in generating visual and written content for the site.
Detailed ResponsibilitiesReview existing website and incorporate current best practices in web development.
Prototype new features and design changes.
Develop new functionality for posting site content, accepting online request forms, and routing requests through workflow.
Assist in the creation of artwork and written content.
Develop test plans for site upgrades and perform QA prior to release.
Resolve reported website issues.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML, and XSLT. Candidates should be able to provide examples or images of previous work.
Practical experience with AJAX and Web 2.0 development techniques.
Understanding of basic graphic and visual design principles.
Knowledge of graphics editing tools such as Photoshop.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to find innovative approaches to address issues or meet requirements.
Excellent skills in written communication.
Work as part of a team or independently, as required.
Strong initiative with the ability to prioritize and manage workload.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
DESIRED SKILLS:
