VHA's Supply Chain Analytics Division is responsible for the development, production and delivery of analytical applications and tools designed to assist its members in better managing and improving their entire supply chain operation and reducing costs.

The Sr. Director reviews available market research and works with Service Delivery/Area Offices to design tools/reports to meet member business needs. Determines and documents anticipated customer impact of newly designed tools. Carries primary responsibility for prototype development and documentation of product functionality. Establishes and maintains a consistent design and "brand" appearance for all member facing SCAD products and tools. Reports directly to the Vice President Product Management.


This position will oversee the design process of all SCAD products and tools. This position will be the most significant contributor to VHA/SCAD branding in the marketplace. As such, this position will require substantial experience in all aspects healthcare supply chain, including spend analytics, executive level dashboard, supply chain data collection, and results reporting. High familiarity with a presentation design medium (e.g. Powerpoint) will be essential. Familiarity with the current VHA technical platform (MicroStrategy) will be an asset but not a core requirement. This will be a key position in development and maintenance of a SCAD product life cycle. in development and maintenance of a SCAD product life cycle.

In addition, the Sr. Director:
•Reviews available market research and work with Service Delivery/Area Offices to define tools/reports to meet member business needs
•Designs and creates “proof of concept” tools and reports
•Defines and documents product functionality for all newly developed tools
•Defines and documents user requirements for all new tools
•Develops and maintains a consistent design and branding for all SCAD products
•Coordinates with SCAD Operations group for seamless hand-off of all new tools/reports
•Participates closely in launch and follow-through on all pilot testing for new tool releases
REQUIREMENTS
-Seven to ten years experience in health care consulting and/or supply chain.
-Bachelors Degree in Business, or Health Care degree preferred

-Strong consultative sales skills

-Aptitude for data, analysis and interpretation

-Self-starter, independent, outgoing and positive.

-Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interface with executive levels within health care organizations.

-Strong presentation skills.
-Comfortable dealing with high degree of ambiguity and flexibility.
