SQL Server/SSIS Developer

The right candidate will be responsible for analyzing data processing requirements to create ETL jobs using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Responsibilities Include:

Design system components for the extract, transform, and load (ETL) of data from source systems to target systems. This includes data validation, data cleansing, data transformation and calculations.
Design system components which reconcile and audit results of the ETL process.
The consultant will be required to understand all the business rules currently existing in the existing ETL jobs and insure they are accounted for in the new ETL packages.

This position is for someone with strong developer skills and some DBA knowledge. This position is a contract OR contract to hire position. The first 3-4 months would be working on site with our end client in Baton Rouge (expenses covered by Company). Future projects would be completed in either Houston, Austin or San Antonio offices depending upon the resource’s home location.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services highly desired; Experience with other ETL software a plus (such as SeeBeyond, Informatica, DTS, etc.)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills (application and server).
Database knowledge with SQL Server 2005 and Sybase.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with relational database and dimensional database design
Experience with VB.NET and the .NET Framework 2.0 ETL packages
Preferred Skills:

Willingness to travel 75%
Practical experience with SSRS
Experience with BizTalk Server
