SQL Server DBA/ Architect

Purpose: TEK systems is seeking a Senior Level SQL Server Data Base Administrator with 8 10 years experience for one of our clients in Woodlawn, MD for a Permanent position.

This is an IMMEDIATE opening!

Job Summary:
Provides technical expertise in the use of SQL database technology and assures the performance of the enterprise's SQL database environment. Ensures the appropriate design, configuration, integration, and installation of database management system applications. Is knowledgeable in the design and construction of data architectures, operational data stores and data marts.

Worked Performed:
1. Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures and designs, develops, amends, optimizes and certifies database design to meet business requirements.
2. Defines data architecture and database-related standards, policies and procedures.
3. Develops and implements a database administration plan for SQL server, including backups, data consistency and corruption checks, monitoring. and capacity planning.
4. Defines data dictionary and data warehousing requirements
5. Provides troubleshooting for SQL related problems
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
