SQL Server DBA

Job description:
This group is responsible for Supporting Global Databases worldwide, predominantly in SQL SERVER, but there is a hodgepodge of others, there they do run some Sybase and Some Oracle. This groups supports the databases in both Development and Live environments.
Day to Day Support of SQL Server 2000 (if they have 2005, it*s a BIG PLUS) databases in both Live and Development Environments. They be doing such things as Stress Testing, creating and moving tables, performance management, etc, etc, etc. Having Reporting tools such as OLAP or ETL is going to be a huge help as they can write and create reports. This position also requires someone who has *soft skills* meaning that this person will be on the phone with other DBA*s in places like The UK, Switzerland, Bermuda, India, and they want someone who is familiar working with other cultures, so there isn*t going to be a lot of handholding.
In addition they want someone with really strong analytic skills that will be able to think of issues before they happen. Wallflowers will not last here.
