SAS Programmer
Technisource is a national provider of technology services, focused on achieving the unique goals of our clients and consultants.
We are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer who will be responsible for producing custom tables with statistical analyses. In addition, the Senior Programmer will provide leadership for other programmers and develop generic code to be used in multiple ways.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Develop data listings, summaries, and graphs for statistical analysis and/or report writing under the direction of a statistician.
2) Review data to verify integrity and consistency for completeness, accuracy and suitability, including data adherence to protocol, data coding integrity, reliability of collection and interpretation.
3) Combine data from multiple sources and reformat to produce analysis datasets.
4) Create SAS programs according to requirements specifications and following SOPs to produce accurate and timely results.
5) Utilize and understand current in-house SAS programs.
6) Perform statistical analysis under the direction of a statistician.
7) Maintain organized, complete and up-to-date study documentation, testing and validation/quality control documents and programs in compliance with company standards.
8) Perform peer reviews which include reviewing code, confirming accuracy of results, conforming to MPI Style Guidelines and/or Sponsor guidelines.
9) Provide recommendations for improving efficiencies and data storage organization.
10) Develop programs or code to be used for multiple studies or multiple functions.
11) Lead and direct the work of other programmers.
12) Mentor junior programmers.
13) Provides leadership for training other team members on various programming skills.
14) Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
-Candidates should have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent years of “on the job” experience (with SAS Certification) with at least 8 years of experience in programming.
-At least four years of experience in SAS is required; including SAS macros, arrays, SQL, and SAS/Graph.
-Candidate should demonstrate good organizational and verbal communication skills.
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Source Save (VSS), Microsoft Access, and different output formats (.rtf, .html) a plus.
Must be U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a TN-1 visa.
