RF Engineer

This senior level RF Engineer is responsible for investigating and designing new technology for use in our microwave radio product line. Responsibilities also include providing support to manufacturing in the resolution of design-related manufacturing and reliability issues on new designs as well as through the upgrade of existing products when necessary.

Responsibilities
•Perform RF analysis, design and development of ground based terminals for satellite communication applications.
•Demonstrate proof of concept RF based products using commercial-off-the-shelf equipment, techniques, and procedures.
•Attend program, sales and customer meetings as required and maintain liaison with individual accounts for technical support.
•Lead and execute homologation and certification process for type approval of Company’s RF based products and subsystems (CE, UL, FCC, etc.).
•Assist in writing product specification, proposals and develop test documents and quality assurance processes for satcom applications.
•Perform as on-site technical support for company’s satellite communication products and provide quality control for support and services.
•Prepare documentation for product design reviews that detail the performance and goals of the presupposed design.
•Create working Breadboards of prototype designs.
•Conduct tests and provide written test materials showing how design goals have been met.
•Produce and/or oversee test fixture design, write and/or review all test procedures related to the design.
•Attend production/product status meetings as required.
REQUIREMENTS

•BSEE or equivalent
•Minimum 8+ years experience in RF components, modules and system design in satellite and/or wireless communication applications is required.
•Up-to-date with leading edge RF components and products.
•Prior hands-on experience in system integration, testing and installation of RF subsystems is required.
•Familiar with use of PC design and schematic capture tools. Must demonstrate the ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, data generators, and analyzers.
•Willing to travel to provide sales and on-site customer support and services, primarily in US continent.
•Must pass a pre-employment background screen and drug test.
