R&D MECHANICAL PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER MEDICAL PRODUCTS

This is a 2 year project.. located in Gary, Indiana..
Need an R&D Product Design Engineer with a BS and 4 to 10 years related experience and/ or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Products and SolidWorks experience preferred. Design and Engineer silicone based cuffed catheter or other silicone devices in a mfg. environment with basic knowledge of silicone molding, extrusion and assembly operations. Experience in working within the medical device regulatory constraints (QSR's/ISO-9001). Experience testing to ANSI,ISO, AAMI, ASTM etc. Should have knowledge of spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel) Presentation Software (PowerPoint)Internet and email software(Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft Internet Explorer) Computer Aided Drawing Software(CAD) we use SOLIDWORKS and autocad ,Project Management Software (Microsoft Project) and word processing software (Microsoft Word)
Maintain specification packet, technical file, and FEMA for product lines under care upon-and after-design-transfer to production. Document analysis for impact to product utility and regulatory status prior to implementation, re-validate specs as needed. Lead investigations supporting corrective actions from product design perspective. Must have hands on approach,work with all departments, faciltate team meetings, able to keep projects on track and manage multiple projects. Able to initiate creative actions and manage change. Good planning skills including documenting work plan and anticipating major events and milestones. Good leadership skills. Able to call meetings and engage team to resolve conflicts. Generate new ideas for cost savings without sacrificing program content. Knowledge in facilitating FMEA's.
