Publishing Careers: Fulltime/Freelance Book Production

NETS, a leading provider of full-service editorial, production, creative, and interactive services for the educational publishing industry is currently seeking full-time, part-time and freelance staff.

Prepress Technician
Must be experienced in color correction, PDF workflow and InDesign. Requires a knack for problem solving and the ability to maintain deadlines under pressure. Must be motivated, extremely organized and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Full or part-time. Flexible hours available.

Graphic/Technical Artist
Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator 10 or later, and must be detail-oriented and able to follow supplied specs. Tech artist will work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment on 1 through 4 color projects. Basic knowledge of QXP or InDesign an plus but not required. Please note that this is not a creative position.

InDesign Production Staff
Candidates should have a minimum of six months experience with InDesign CS in addition to Quark. Must have knowledge of style sheets, master pages, font and color usage, and layers, among others. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Multiple shift full-time (7:30am-4pm or 4pm-12:30am), flexible part-time and freelance opportunities also available.

Full-time Freelance InDesign Production Staff (3-6 Month Term)
Candidates should have a minimum of six months experience with InDesign CS. El-Hi market experience desired. Must have knowledge of style sheets, master pages, font and color usage, and layers, among others. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Flexible hours available.

Multimedia Technology Project Manager
The successful candidate will have experience managing CD/Internet project from conception to completion. Requires excellent documentation, planning, conceptual, and consulting, QA knowledge, and communication skills. Ability to create budgets and schedules. Needs analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to interact with art, programming, and content development staff. Utilizing independent judgment and discretion, evaluates product to ensure they meet clients needs and requirements. Experience in Flash programming is preferred, but not required.
