Project Engineer / Design Engineer

The successful candidate will:
• Design and develop modifications to existing products serving the HVAC industry.
• Work with designers, test labs, manufacturing, customers and outside sales teams in a matrix approach to identify new concepts, technology, appearance, and performance specifications to target increased market penetration.
• Write test and system analysis plans to ensure products meet specific agency standards and provide the customer with the best solution.
• Perform some FEA analysis for specific structural components.
• Make recommendations / contributions to the team in a variety of areas, including system design, performance, and appearance.
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.
• Some travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS
Outstanding Career Opportunity for an experienced engineering possessing the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Five (5) plus years experience in design, development, test, or modification of commercial or residential HVAC systems is required.
• Specific knowledge of airflow within a packaged system is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of components, heat transfer, refrigeration systems, and advanced technology in the areas of electronic controls would be a plus.
• Ability to apply agency standards to ensure products designed can successfully pass appropriate life-cycle or qualification testing.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
