Project Design Engineer

Performs detailed design engineering of packaged equipment working from a finalized Piping and Instrument Diagram and Process Flow Diagram. Design activities include structural, piping, some electrical, some control systems, instrumentation, equipment selection and specification, and general skidded equipment packaging know-how. Project Design Engineer is utilized as a Project Manager for assigned projects. Project Management activities include project scheduling, cost control and reporting, management of procurement costs, specifications and schedule with assistance from purchasing, project documentation ,customer interface, fabrication interface, and any other activities which may be required to execute the project.
REQUIREMENTS
BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
5-10 years related experience.
Manage and/or perform detailed design of general arrangement for skid equipment, vessels, vessel internals, connecting piping per applicable code, and other equipment as required to satisfy the requirements of the customer contract.
Function as primary point of contact with customers from Sales hand-over to Operations hand-over.
Perform or subcontract the detailed design or analysis of skid base structure and structural supports.
Manage or perform the detailed design of ASME B&PV Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessels.
Manage detailed subcontract design and specification of electrical systems and/or electronic control systems and instrumentation.
Manage and/or perform the production of engineering deliverables including drawings package, data sheets and summaries, project specifications, customer documentation, inspection and test plans.
Manage and meet the required project schedule from detailed design phase through project execution, completion and hand-over to Operations Group.
Manage and meet project cost targets and optimum cash flow distribution.
Provide technical assistance to customers, sales/process engineering and operations as required.
Provide input for cost estimating and proposal generation to sales/process engineering as required.
