Programmer Analyst - Library Web Developer

The UT Southwestern Medical Center Libraries, with 52 staff, serve a medical school, allied health school, and graduate school of biomedical sciences as well as two hospitals. The Libraries’ resources include a 250,000-volume collection; more than 6,000 biomedical electronic journal subscriptions; 80+ bibliographic and full-text databases; and a World Wide Web site receiving well over 1.5 million hits per year. The Libraries serve 19,502 faculty, staff, students, and residents of UT Southwestern, UT Southwestern University Hospital - Zale Lipshy, UT Southwestern University Hospital - St. Paul, Parkland Health & Hospital System, and Children's Medical Center. The UT Southwestern Medical Center Library in Dallas, Texas is seeking a detail-oriented, self starting Web Developer with strong problem solving and communication skills to assist the Library Webmaster in maintaining and developing web applications for the Library’s Internet and Intranet sites.
REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or GED plus successful completion of vocational training in computer programming and three (3) years experience in computer operation and/or programming, including at least one (1) year experience in computer programming.

•At least two years of Web Development experience
•Working knowledge of ColdFusion
•Working knowledge of Javascript
•Working knowledge of Dreamweaver
•Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, develop, test and deploy new Web applications
•Ability to work in a collaborative environment
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
