Production Manager

Responsible for the day to day production of All Terrain Vehicles. Directs and coordinates the activities of approximately 4 supervisors, 12 Team Leaders and 200+ SMAC Team Members and Associates involved in the fabricating, welding, painting, injection molding, assembly and packing of All Terrain vehicles. Responsible for meeting company objectives in the area of schedule attainment, production efficiency (Hours/Vehicle), Safety, and Quality (First Pass Ratio & Quality Index Audit).
Responsible for the department’s budget. Leads the area’s continuous improvement programs.

Principal Tasks:
1. Directs and coordinates the activities of approximately 4 supervisors, 12 Team Leaders and 200+ Team Members and Associates involved in the fabricating, welding, painting, injection molding, assembly and packing of All Terrain vehicles.

2. Responsible for meeting company objectives in the area of schedule attainment, efficiency (Hours/Vehicle), Safety, and Quality (First Pass Ration & Quality Index Audit).

3. Performs analysis, designs, develops, implements, evaluates and maintains operation standards and process flow for each process unit.

4. Manages daily/weekly/monthly production results in comparison with production plans.

5. Plans, develops and implements safe and healthy work environment for production Team Members.

6. Manages work in process inventory.

7. Budget.
REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience: 3-5 years experience as a manager in a manufacturing facility. Experience in Japanese manufacturing company preferred.

Academic: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or related field.

Skills: This position requires a STRONG daily operations focus. Excellent communication skills to include verbal & written are required. Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, 5S, assembly and production equipment.
