Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc. (“GLG”) is searching for a Product Manager (Transaction Platforms). We are an independent primary research firm providing a diverse set of clients – most prominently, the global financial services industry, but increasingly, healthcare, technology and other sectors – with access to a proprietary and global network of experts, and the software and services used to engage these experts for primary research and consulting.

The Transaction Platforms Product Manager will determine, articulate, and drive the technology for high volume payment processing. The PM will serve as a technical advisor on behalf of the finance/accounting team with responsibility for financial systems reengineering. The PM will focus on implementing process change and systems upgrades for high volume payment processing. The PM will assess needs, articulate and communicate a plan, and drive it through to completion.

Responsibilities will include the following:
Identify limitations of existing hardware and software infrastructure and business work flow
Work with the Accounting/Finance/Engineering teams to develop strategy and needs assessment for new systems development
Work with the Engineering team on an integration plan
Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure that the plan, budgets, and resources required to implement systems changes are allocated and managed to deliver as required
Manage systems rollout from inception to delivery
Manage financial system vendor relationships
Ensure system is utilized effectively

Expected Background
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Finance/Accounting
6-8 years experience in product management or transactional systems management in an e-commerce environment
Financial ERP system experience
Experience with high volume payment processing
Experience coordinating transactional payment systems implementation
Understanding of the limitations and challenges to transactional system integration with propriety web-based software
Recent experience with large scale customer facing applications
Experience with international payment standards and systems a plus
Strong interpersonal and writing skills
Project management planning skills
