Product Engineer

A manufacturer of “stainless steel food service equipment” is seeking to hire a R&D engineer. This manufacturing plant is located in the Nashville, TN. area.This position will perform design work on product lines from the start of a product until the completion. This includes new product design, work instructions, and service manuals.These responsibilities include working with sheet metal, electrical and control design, with a special emphasis on refrigeration system sizing and design. Responsibilities also includes preparing tract schedules and budgets for full product lines, as well as being a liaison to regulatory agencies on responsible projects. This position interfaces with Purchasing, Shipping, Production, Production Control, Marketing, and Sales employees.This position will multi task and will work with vendors for quotes and specifications.This position requires domestic and international travel.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements.You must have experience with the manufacturing of Stainless Steel Food Service Equipment.BS degree in Engineering preferred. AS degree in a technical discipline maybe considered if the above experience is applicable.Five years experience with a BS (4 yr. degree) or Ten years experience with an AS degree.High level of Interpersonal skills is a must.Good computer skills are required. Microsoft office suite, (word, excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD. Must be proficient in some AutoCAD.
