Product Design Mechanical Engineer

A progressive and growing Automotive, Appliance and Consumer Products Company is looking for a Product Design Mechanical Engineer to insure timely completion of key engineering projects and product development. This position requires a team player that will work closely with internal sales and customer(s) engineering groups to ensure the timely completion of product development projects.

Responsibilities include design and development of products, identification of intellectual property in product designs, utilization and support of existing manufacturing methods plus identification of leading edge manufacturing to enhance product, delivery and price, and other projects as assigned. Approximately 10% domestic and international travel for effectively managing and completing projects may be required.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience in project work, designing and development of product.
Pro/Engineer 2001 or newer
AutoCad
APQP/PPAP experience
Effective interpersonal and communication skills

DESIRED:

Basic knowledge of UL/CSA/VDE requirements
Basic Electronics, electrical assembly and harness design
Knowledge of injection molding
Solidworks
Finite Element Analyses
