Product Design Engineer for Air Registers - (MT13493)

Our industry-focused recruiters recognize your talent, know how to market your unique skills and can help you secure employment with these very selective corporations.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Design and develop technical product solutions for A/C registers that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Daily task:

-Work with the design studio to determine feasibility of surface design as requested by the studio.
-Learn how to maximize registers velocity and directionality and apply knowledge on all new programs
-Learn how to design for best mechanical function and apply knowledge on all new programs
-Design registers to maximize airflow performance and assure proper mechanical function as supported and/or directed by the Registers Technical Specialist to meet customer requirements
-Support the PMT meeting for interface of the registers with other components
-Do feasibility studies as required
-Meet with the customer on all registers related issues
-Support program timing
-Release of drawing including GD&T
-Represent Visteon Interiors at Design Reviews, both internal and with customer as appropriate
-Participates actively in Design Reviews / Technical Design Reviews (TDR’s)
-Prepare documents for the program (DVP&R, DFMEA, work plan, …….)
-Keep current with new registers technologies. Transfer knowledge and expertise to core engineering and manufacturing through interactions.
-Participate in cost save workshops and benchmarking studies as required.
-Work with register manufacturers on tooling, timing, and other related issues.

YEARS EXPERIENCE: 5

DEGREE STRONGLY PREFERRED: BSME

DESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
-Able to enginer BIC air register systems
-Self motivated and willing to learn and apply new skills like being expert in registers design
-Ability to become familiar with Registers Design Guideline.
-Must be able to effectively communicate through written or oral intervention.
-Ability to represent Visteon in a professional manner in front of Customer.
-Must have a good knowledge in mechanical function of components
-Knowledge in material selection for function and durability
-Basic knowledge of tooling and manufacturing of components.
-Knowledge of Interiors Systems Components is a plus
-Knowledge in VisMockup is a plus
-communication skills
Able to work well with outside suppliers
