Process Integration Engineer

This position will be responsible for both CCD and CMOS imager fabrication. The candidate will be a leading member in the development of state-of-the-art imagers for a variety of commercial and government clients. Responsibilities will include leading an imager process engineering team. Extensive knowledge of device physics relevant for CCD/CMOS imager operation is a must. The candidate will interface closely with the IC design and layout team to validate process design rules, process integration issues during the development of new CCD/CMOS imagers. Familiarity with silicon processing and device modeling tools such as, SUPREM and MEDICI is a must for this position. Sarnoff has an in-house IC fabrication capability. This person will also be responsible to develop and transition fabrication processes from older to new equipments. Experience in managing projects/tasks is desired. Prior experience in successful yield improvement activities is highly desired. Experience in technology transfer to external IC foundry is a plus. Responsibilities will also include presenting in technical and management forums, both to internal and external parties. This individual will work with Business Development personnel, and should have a passion to see the results of their efforts come full cycle to the product stage.
REQUIREMENTS
Position requires a MS or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Must have at least 5 years of experience in CCD/CMOS imager fabrication. Detailed knowledge of imager process technology is a must. Hands-on experience with laboratory evaluation of imagers is a plus. The chosen candidate must possess excellent communication [verbal, written and listening] and organizational skills. Must be comfortable with working in a multi-disciplinary team. Coursework and/or work experience should include Problem Solving/Decision Making, Customer Relations, Team Building, Proposal Writing and Supervisory Skills. This position will require some travel to customer sites as dictated by business needs, and will be required to assist in new business proposals as needed. Must have top-secret clearance or be able to attain TS clearance.
