Principal Designer, Piping

As a Principal Piping Designer:
Prepare piping layouts and conceptual designs for difficult and complex problems.
Prepare complex piping design drawings.
Interface with other design disciplines.
Become proficient in 2D and 3D CAD capabilities, as required.
Work independently with little or no supervision.
Check complex piping design drawings.
Perform squad check of vendor equipment drawings and drawings from other disciplines.
Assist the Piping Design Supervisor, as required.
Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-classification piping designers.
Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner.
Evaluate Performance Appraisal input and administer counseling.
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals.
Participate in Piping department training programs/seminars and on-line training.~cbEmployment Type: Full-time

REQUIREMENTS
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Fifteen plus years of piping design experience
Fluor piping design experience preferred
Experience in PDS, SmartPlant Review, Microstation, and AutoCAD preferred
