Principal Applications Analyst

Responsibilities include:
Developing system enhancement communication and training strategies
Conducting user interviews and analysis of operations workflow.
Preparing detailed business specifications and design solutions.
Proven ability to work with technical resources to translate documented business needs into technical solutions.
Strong documentation, listening and communication skills.
Able to provide input to the formulation and definition of project scope, including resource estimates.
Able to perform business process and application analysis to understand the end user's environment and current use of technology.
Analyzing existing systems capabilities and procedures in the context of solving complex business problems.
Evaluating business requests and developing detailed client requirements
Preparing detailed specifications for development on mainframe and/or GUI/distributed platforms
Developing test plans and test cases.
Coordinating user acceptance testing and tracking and resolving issues throughout the life of a project.Qualifications
Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent. 3 or more years of related mutual funds/financial services experience. 3 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience.
Proven ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong documentation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Microsoft Office expertise.
Experience with DST Systems TRAC and/or TA2000 products desired, but not required.Benefits
