Job Title: Project/Program Manager II - New Store Opening Manager Responsibilities



This position is responsible for managing the process of opening a retail store. This includes the merchandising and operations of the store once construction is completed. This position also serves as point of contact for the new store build-out team after the initial opening.



The New Store Opening Manager is responsible for participating in the construction completion or punch process to identify complete or incomplete construction items. They then manage all open or incomplete items to ensure completion in a timely manner.



The person in this position matrix manages a variety of teams to coordinate all pre-opening activities. This includes, but is not limited to: engineers, contractors, network teams, field representatives, new store managers, Embarq Retail Ops, architects, Embarq facilities, and landlords. Matrix management, project management, great energy, and leadership skills are essential for success.



Travel is required.










JOB REQUIREMENTS


1. Job requires a level of knowledge typically gained through a combination of a college degree and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.

2. Thorough knowledge and understanding of professional concepts, processes and products/services.

3. Strong oral and written communication, financial analysis, analytical and conceptual skills, Self-motivated and reliable.

4. Advanced PC/Internet and Data services knowledge/skills.

5. Project Management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix-managed environment.
