PROGRAMMER

Suffolk County, Long Island Computer Consulting Firm is looking for a candidate to join our team to do application support and programming for our new and existing Clientele. Applicant must have a minimum of BS in Computer Science or Information Technology and possess excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Must be organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks assigned, and function as part of a team-oriented environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Required skills include: Windows 2000-2003, XP, Visual Studio.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET (with focus on Web Applications and Web Services), HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, SQL Server 2000 or Oracle, OO Programming, SQL language.

Candidate needs to be efficient in hand coding, have some knowledge of web/database integration (SQL queries, dynamic SQL, stored procedures, etc.),and will work closely with Project Manager and Development Team to plan, design, QA and deploy new applications.
Duties will include:
Support and resolve application/software issues
Maintenance enhancements of existing systems
Deployment of new systems and upgrades
Integration of 3rd party applications/components
Develop test plans and documentation for new projects
Work on program changes under direction of Development Team

Desired but not required skills include: IIS, ASP, ASP.NET C#, C++, Java, Visual Basic, VBScript, AJAX, XML, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash, Dream Weaver. Microsoft Certifications and knowledge of Health Care Industry a plus.
