PBX/VOIP Engineer/Telecom HANOVER

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $48,000 to $82,000 per year The Telecommunication Engineer will be responsible for the 24 x 7 global communication infrastructure with a focus on PBX equipment and emerging technologies in a complex multi-site environment; responsible for enterprise communication contract negotiation and management, as well as communication outsource service management; provides support and management of the existing Siemens HiPath 4000, Xpressions, HiPath ProCenter, and Interalia XMU; provides support and management of enterprise faxing, mobile devices, video, web conferencing, IM and unified messaging.
Responsibilities will include: Analyze, design and architect communications solutions for business teams, which may include video, voice, web conferencing, faxing, etc., as necessary to meet the business objectives. Responsible for design of ACD queuing and intra-company call routing using legacy and emerging technologies such as VoIP to meet business objectives. Consult with the business and functional teams to understand business problems to create the necessary infrastructure to meet the business objectives. Develop voice system monitoring, tracking and diagnostics for Contact Center ACD environments with direct input from the business teams to meet objectives. Responsible for accurate inventory of all voice/data lines, equipment and maintaining up-to-date documentation. Configure and manage Interalia and Xpressions, Hipath systems running on Windows 2000/2003 servers. Provide proactive measures to ensure the quality, stability and business continuity of all voice communication needs.
Provide technical support to projects relating to video, voice, faxing and data communications for technical implementation.
Responsible for ordering and managing the process for new telephone service.Responsible for enterprise communication contract negotiation and management. Review vendor recommendations and advise management of cost-saving opportunities.
Responsible for managing communication outsource services.
