Oracle Developer
MSD is an employee-owned company of over 600 professionals who support the diverse technical, scientific, and administrative needs of the Federal government. We are currently searching for an experienced Oracle Developer to support one of our clients. This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and on site in Ogden, Utah.
MSD is seeking a database and software developer who is experienced in all system life cycle phases, including requirements definition, design, programming, testing, and implementation. Candidates must be accomplished programmers with knowledge of Oracle relational database management and related Oracle technologies, including PL/SQL and Oracle Forms and Reports. Must have experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. Experience adhering to or knowledge of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) processes is highly desired.

Must Haves:
Desired technical proficiencies include:
• Oracle (particularly 9.2) database design and maintenance
• Web programming in an Oracle and Unix environment
• Oracle Forms (particularly 6i)
• Oracle SQL Plus
• TOAD or SQL Developer
• PL/SQL
• Advanced knowledge and experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers
• HTML
• Microsoft Project
• Microsoft Excel, particularly producing reports for viewing in Excel
• Requirements specification
• Software configuration management and version control
Educational Qualifications:
At minimum, a four-year degree is required; a degree in a field related to information systems or computer science is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience directly applicable to the requirements of this position.
Daily Duties:
The successful candidate will work on site with the client as part of an integrated project team to support and extend a system operating in a Sun Solaris and Oracle environment. All work is performed in adherence with MSD’s CMMI Level 2 processes, procedures, and development methods. Examples of work include: develop software code; participate in code reviews; perform unit and integration testing; code screens and reports; ensure adherence to Section 508 accessibility guidelines; coordinate development, installation, and maintenance activities; document user requirements and system design; produce error-free system code; and ensure adherence with system security and privacy standards.
Other Duties:
Candidates must be able to work on the client site in Ogden, Utah, and must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance.
