ONLINE PRODUCER - WEB DESIGNER / PROGRAMMER

Online Producer to work within a Marketing Services team in Jersey City. This candidate will perform the day-to-day publishing of HTML pages for the client's managed websites. As part of the publishing process, the candidate will need to work closely with content copywriters, graphic designers, and software development.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Build web pages using standard HTML authoring tools
Maintain HTML code versioning and change tracking
Accurately track all HTML page requests in terms of priority and turn around time
Effectively escalate HTML requests to the software development team when applications need to be built
Re-factor content sources (e.g. HTML, MS Word, Text, etc.) into client's internal HTML coding standards before publishing to the websites
Coordinate HTML page deployments with the QA and Network Operations teams
Optimize photos and other graphical elements for posting to the site
Build and design new landing pages, banner ads, and visual mock-ups for web site enhancements
Keep up-to-date with the latest web site and user experience best practices; put that knowledge to use on the job


Knowledge & Skills
High proficiency in HTML authoring
Microsoft Content Management Server (Site Builder) and Microsoft Commerce Server (Business Desk)
Familiarity with authoring/graphics tools such as MS FrontPage Adobe Photoshop, and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Copy editing skills
Graphic design background a plus
High degree of service oriented focus
Ability to work well in a team
Internally motivated and shows initiative
Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Experience/Education
BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent
3-5 years of web authoring and production
