Network Assistant/Intern

Madison Bank has an immediate opening for a part-time to full-time Network Assistant/Intern. The position is responsible for performing general maintenance items on desktop and server systems as well as printers. Performing software installs and upgrades, troubleshooting and help desk functions. Tracking and updating complete inventory of all computer hardware and software, maintaining general network functions and related logs, troubleshooting general network/end-user problems, and assisting the Director of Information Systems with projects as needed. A bachelorÂ?s degree in Information Systems or an individual currently pursuing this degree and 2-3 years of experience in local area network environment required. Candidates should possess working knowledge of personal computer and server hardware installation and maintenance, patch management, BackExec and ArcServe backup, Symantec antivirus/spyware protection, HTML programming, Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Server 2003, TCP/IP, DNS, Ethernet protocols, basic CAT5 wiring knowledge, business applications including Microsoft Office and general knowledge of telephone and voice mail systems.
