Network Administrator

Western suburb office of Nutrition Management Services Company, a food service provider for the healthcare and private school industry, is seeking a Network Administrator to report to the Director of Support Services.
Position is full time exempt. Looking for a hands-on working manager responsible for the daily network operations and internal communication systems. This position is responsible for the LAN/WAN and related services such as computer room environmentals, system architecture and requirements, system capacity planning and performance, back-up and recovery, infrastructure security, asset management and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility to establish and enforce best practices in network administration and field trouble shooting on a Windows platform.
• Provide IT leadership to company
• Responsible for work flow; identify, prioritize and monitor projects• Evaluate system architecture needs and make recommendations
• Identify and schedule maintenance tasks
• Perform analysis, diagnoses and resolution of complex system-related issues
• Research and make recommendations related to new technology and hardware products to support the business goals.
• Remain current on emerging technologies
20% travel required to visit communities
Skills:• Working knowledge of network routing and switching products and protocols
• Experience in network topologies, protocols and operating systems
• NT Servers
• Experience in Microsoft Exchange and Office Suite
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or relevant technical certifications• 4 - 5 years in a technical position with experience in a multi-site environment with over 50 servers• Excellent interpersonal communication• Experience creating technical documentation and reports• Ability to present educational sessions to company personnel
