Naval Architect

Purpose: I have a direct placement opening for you to join the team of our client as a Naval Architect.

As a Naval Architect, you will be responsible for converting Ship Constructor drawings to 2D AutoCAD drawings for structural hull detail, superstructure, and outfit detail drawings. You will also be creating shell expansion drawings.

To qualify for this position you must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the marine industry. This experience must include design experience of Motor Yachts in the 75-150 foot range. You must also have shipyard new construction and refit experience. Knowledge of structural detailing is also required. A working knowledge of ABS and MCA are a MUST! The primary software for this position will be Ship Constructor. A Degree in Naval Architecture is required.
