.NET Architect

This premier financial services company has over 200 million customers in more then 100 countries. They are seeking a senior .NET architect with experience leading the design and guiding delivery of high performance trading applications. This position is for a truly world-class technology innovator to guide transformation of this firm's Equity technology platform. Key responsibilities include designing and guiding development of very high performance Equity trading systems; guiding the strategic direction of the Equities trading platform; identifying and creating innovation to win a competitive edge; providing guidelines and review for teams developing on the Microsoft platform; mentoring and coaching developers; and identifying appropriate timing, techniques, and goals for adapting emerging Microsoft technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong hands-on C# with a background in Visual C++ development. OO analysis/design, including experience with design patterns, performance optimization, and structured development methodologies. 10+ years of experience designing and developing Equity trading applications with significant experience designing and building highly performant Equity trading applications using the Microsoft platform. .NET and COM performance tuning. Familiarity with middleware systems such as Tibco Rendezvous. Hands-on experience designing systems that use SQL Server. Interoperability techniques with J2EE and J2SE. An understanding of concepts, techniques, components used in algorithmic, program trading, and/or high frequency trading, i.e. statistical arbitrage. Strong relationships across the Microsoft development community. Familiarity with J2SE, J2EE, Solaris, and/or Linux. Experience with market data systems such as Reuters RMDS, Triarch or Open Bloomberg. Experience with iterative developmen!
t and test-driven methodologies. Experience with network programming (TCP/UDP/MCAST). Knowledge of database performance and optimization concepts as well as exposure to Sybase ASE, Oracle and/or time series systems such as KdB+.
