Modernization Analyst (4832)

Provide technical services to Naval Sea Systems Command. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable of submarine Combat systems, Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES), the Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) manual, and ship alteration process and procedures. In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience with the Navy Date Environment Navy Modernization (NDE-NM), eTasker and Live Link data information systems. The candidate will be required interface and communicate with various NAVSEA codes, Planning Yards, Shipyards, SUBLANT/SUBPAC Type Commanders and various other U.S. Navy field activities. The candidate will be required to attend various Ship Alteration meetings, participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) meetings, including the Submarine Modernization Conference. The candidate will be required to prepare presentations and NAVSEA correspondence.This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 4 years of related experience.Specific Skills Required: Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Desired Skills: FMP, US Navy Submarine qualified.The position noted above requires access to classified information; applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires a secret level clearance. US Citizenship required.
