###############################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################
Principal Systems Engineer needed to provide modeling/simulation, analysis, and development of advanced architectures and systems that can include hardware platforms and software components for validation and visualization of performance and functional capabilities. Systems would be primarily DoD network centric but would also include commercial systems such as avionic flight decks. The systems engineer will be a part of a multi-functional team comprising system engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers and other support engineering groups performing tasks to model, simulate, integrate and demonstrate advanced system architectures, concepts of operation, and instantiated systems. Candidate will work closely with team members in a fast paced and challenging environment. Candidate must be able to obtain an US security clearance.
Position requires an innovative, self-motivated technical person with experience in various modeling and simulation tools at different layers of the OSI stack that will be architected and integrated together to provide effective and quick turn-around for the evaluation of system architecture and system components in a operational environment. Familiarity with communication systems, IP networking and network-centric operations and warfare, control and monitor systems requirements are also required. Candidate should be capable to provide innovative methods for development of mathematical, statistical, and engineering models for various levels of operations modeling to evaluate effectiveness and performance of system architecture, communication system, applications, policies, and procedures. Candidate should also have demonstrated ability to keep abreast of advances in technology and tools to keep modeling and simulation effort at the forefront of technology.
Proven ability to participate in and lead advanced concept development tasks is required. The candidate will be responsible for developing system architectures, identifying and capturing requirements, directing and coordinating a team on assigned projects, including potential management of specific work packages for scope, cost, and schedule in accordance with established systems engineering process. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must for white paper development, presentations, and presentations. Applicant must be able to contribute in a wide variety of areas and tasks as described below:
Define and capture functional and operational requirements
Synthesis of system architectures
Development of modeling and simulation methods for synthesized architectures
Definition of subsystem interfaces
Perform requirements analysis and allocation (to M&S components and equipment in the loop)
Perform trade studies, system modeling & simulation
Generate integration and test plans and procedures
Conduct validation and verification
Perform all tasks in accordance with company engineering processes
Assist in technical proposals, risk management, project planning, and cost estimation.
