The Middleware Architect works closely with all applications and infrastructure teams to understand their requirements. This person also needs to understand business requirements for accessing information and design appropriate middleware architectures, including business and data integration services, necessary to enable the business processes to access the information.
This individual will also help to champion the future direction of the services oriented architecture technology (SOA) within the company through constant attention to technology trends and directions; understanding how those trends will impact existing technology and support business objectives.

Working with Product Engineering, Provisioning Systems, Operations, Support Teams, Architects in technology and line of business owners to resolve issues and continuously improving shared application infrastructure.

Be an advocate for SOA looking for ways to further service enable Comcast legacy applications and architecture infrastructure.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.Qualifications

BS/BA in business, communication, or computer science preferred.

At least 5 years experience in middleware or application server infrastructure design or development role.

Experience delivering large-scale distributed applications into production, and an excellent understanding of the issues involved.

At least five years experience with Java application servers such as BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, and Jboss.

Knowledge of SOA Governance tools such as Infravio, Flashline, and Systinet.

Experience with various industry leading ESB vendors such as BEA, Tibco, and Oracle.

Must be familiar with the following standards and technologies:

Apache Axis SOAP Container

Apache XMLBeans

SOAP Specification

WSDL

Web Services Interoperability Group's Basic Profile (WS-I BP 1) specification

JAX-RPC 1.1
