Metal Building Technician/Detailer

Butler Manufacturing Company, a name synonymous with the highest quality and service standards in the pre-engineered metal building industry, has an immediate opening for a Metal Building Technician/Detailer based at our Birmingham, AL location.

Position Accountabilities:
•Provide complete erection drawings, parts drawings, and manifest for building orders
•Provide structural steel detailing on low to high complexity projects
•Communication with engineers, project managers, manufacturing and customers required.



Qualification / Experience Requirements:
•Associate degree in Drafting or Technology, 2-year technical school or equivalent.
•Extensive experience with Auto Cad applications
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent math skills – trigonometry and geometry
•Metal building and/or structural steel detailing experience required.
