Mechanical Engineer - Design

Design of custom DC motors, drives, electro-mechanical products, aircraft motors which are utilized in aerospace and military applications, with development from prototype to market.
Responsible for the designing of custom, high performance brush type and brushless DC motors.Designs will include permanent magnet and wound field brush type motors, and three phase brushless type configurations with sizes ranging from fractional to 20 horsepower, magnetic (new laminations), electrical, and to a lesser extent, mechanical.Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating projects.
Interface with customers, vendors and manufacturing personnel.
Some travel is required.Perform other duties as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in electrical or mechanical engineering with 4 years relevant experience.Familiarity with AutoCad 2004 and Mechanical Desktop 4 is strongly desired.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
Excellent communication skills required.
