Mechanical Drafters and Designers

Purpose: Our Client is one of the largest and most respected mechanical, electrical, structural, communications, and technology systems engineering firms in the Southeast.

We currently have openings for Mechanical Drafters and Designer:

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for drafting mechanical systems for buildings. These systems include HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing. In this position , you will transform initial rough project designs and concepts into working documents utilizing AutoCad. You will work closely with the technical team members in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Qualified candidates will possess 2+ years experience drafting in an A/E environment or certification in AutoCad. Candidates with experience designing related systems preferred. High school diploma or recognized equivalent required. Must have the ability to efficiently plan and organize work, demonstrated success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for drafting and designing mechanical systems for state of the art buildings. These systems include HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing. In this position, you will layout and size ductwork, perform load calculations, investigate code requirements, and produce working documents utilizing AutoCad. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Qualified candidates will possess 4+ years experience drafting and designing mechanical systems in the A/E environment. High school diploma or recognized equivalent required. AA/AS degree and/or technical certifications in mechanical design preferred. Must have basic knowledge of applicable codes and general engineering practices. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Demonstrated commitment to quality service and engineering for internal/external clients are expected.
