Mechanical Designer w/ inventor

Purpose: A Great opportunity available in Long Island City for Mechanical Designer w/ Inventor.

Job Description:
An international manufacturer of manual/motorized sunscreen shading systems, has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, innovative & self- starting Mechanical Design Engineer. Responsibilities include mechanical product design, improvement & testing in support of custom manufacturing of manual/motorized building systems. Lead projects & team from concept through completion.

Qualifications:
BSME (MSME a plus) and 5+ years product &/or machine design experience. Expertise required in designing plastic components and assemblies for injection molding, sheet metal parts and assemblies, aluminum and plastic extrusions using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor. Experience desired in stress/strain and tolerance analysis, ability to read blueprints/architectural plans. Strong verbal, written & interpersonal skills is required.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
